Milwaukee "N" Southeastern Model Railroad Club
Day at Rochelle, IL Railroad Park
August 23, 2008
This 2nd Annual MNSE members trip to Rochelle Railroad Park was a day with some mixed kind of weather. Several members left Milwaukee quite early in the day. They had some rain when the first arrived in Rochelle.
Other members would trickle into the park as the morning went on. The rain stopped and it was dry and warm. Then just as the grill was cranked up and cooking a heavy mist started falling. But that only lasted 20 minutes and then it ended. Later the skys started to clear and the day ended quite nice.
All in all it was a great day to watch trains with fellow MNSE club members. The UP beat the BNSF about 3 to 1 in the volume of trains. The surprise was the pair of 2002 Olympic Units coupled together pulling a train to Global 3.
