Trainfest 2007 was again very successful. It is advertised as the "Largest Operating Model Railroad Show in America". With over 25,000 people attending that is very true. Trainfest is organized and run by the Wisconsin Southeast Division (WISE)Division of the NMRA. It is held at Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center.

Above photos are from the MNSE portable layout. One of the things that the MNSE has become known for is the large amount of vehicles featured on our portable layout. Plus the accident scenes are also a big feature. While operating on the layout it is interesting to listen to people comment on the accident featured in the front of the layout. Will W has become our vehicle/accident expert.
The past couple of years we have attempting to get photos of some of the members of the TRAINS.com forum. TRAINS magazine from Kalmbach Publishing hosts a quite active forum for prototype and model railroading. This years photo was not one of the best. There were 5 members present. In 2006 we had almost 12 members in attendance.
Shown here is the work of the WISE Division Youth Group. This modular layout is about 8 years old and just recently received the very gracious donation of a Lenz DCC system. Trainfest was the first use of the DCC system. Everything went OK
Modular layout of the SouthEast Wisconsin N Scale. The layout features a large yard and follows N-trak standards for mainline and corners.
Hope you enjoyed some photos from Trainfest 2007. Not only are there operating layouts of most scales, including a very popular LEGO layout. There is a section of Trainfest devoted to Manufacturers. This area is quite busy with companies showing off new products, plus helping modelers with questions and concerns.
